Summer Forest Music Concert Series - Innisfree
The Friends of Tryon Creek invite the public to enjoy Innisfree, local traditional Irish music, as part of the Forest Music Concert Series at Tryon Creek State Natural Area on Saturday evening, July 19th, from 6 ? 7 p.m. The concert will take place in the Jackson Shelter so the public can enjoy the view of the park while listening to Innisfree, a duo who has been performing traditional Irish music in Tryon Creek for the past nineteen years. Brenda describes their music as, ?very down to earth?. It is believed that farmers working outdoors in Ireland were inspired by nature, thus creating the old Irish tunes. Innisfree specializes in these slow traditional melodies. The concert is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 to cover the cost of the band. Sasquatch Brewing Company will be selling beer and wine. The Forest Music Summer Concert Series takes place at Tryon Creek State Natural Area, 11321 SW Terwilliger Blvd. Please visit www.tryonfriends.org for more information.
