Arts Council Legacy Giving Seminar
The Arts Council of Lake Oswego, along with a panel of experts are offering a free seminar to the public on Legacy Giving and long-range financial planning, Saturday, February 23, from 10:30 to noon at the Arts Council’s ARTspace located at 510 1st Street, Lake Oswego. Legacy or Planned Giving is making a commitment to give a charitable organization a gift, over time or at death, as part of the donor’s overall financial and estate planning. The panel of experts include: • Don Caldwell, CPA, Principal, Delap • Layla McLean, Attorney at Law, Associate, Trust and Estate Planning/Business Law, Buckley Law, P.C. • Roland R. Ghazal, CLU, ChFC, Chartered Financial Consultant, New York Life • Doug Lindsey, Senior VP Investments, Private Wealth Advisor, and Branch Manager, Umpqua Investments, Inc. There are many ways to leave a Legacy Gift, and each of the panel experts will offer practical examples that provide significant tax benefits in return. This Legacy Giving seminar is free, open to the public, and part of the educational offerings from ACLO. A Q&A session will follow the panel discussion. Legacy Giving is for all income levels, large and small, where YOU can realize benefits that may mitigate the impact on your finances. Everyone’s tax situation is different, and we encourage attendees to consult their tax and financial professionals for any major decisions. Light refreshments will be served.
