Illume Property Management is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician, who is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and performing general upkeep of homes, condos, and apartment buildings.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs building repairs as necessary.

  • Works with residents to identify issues and communicates resolutions and timeframes.

  • Performs rough framing and repairs, as needed.

  • Performs bath and kitchen remodels.

  • Pours concrete to make small corrections to sidewalks or posts, etc.

  • Cleans gutters and works safely on roofs.

  • Pressure washes/Power washes the area as necessary.

  • Installs drywall and drywall repairs, tapes, muds and textures.

  • Repairs and builds decks/fences.

  • Paints interior and exterior buildings, walls, doors, and trim/Installs all types of siding.

  • Installs French drain systems/Detects water intrusion issues.

  • Installs tile counters, floors and walls.

  • Installs cove base, hardwood, vinyl, and laminate floors.

  • Troubleshoots and repairs appliances.

  • Maintains and repairs wood parts of buildings.

  • Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading and storing supplies.

  • Maintains, cleans and sanitizes bathrooms/break rooms throughout facilities.

  • Empties all trash cans and replace liners, cleans receptacles as necessary.

  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

  • Respectfully takes direction from manager.

  • Other routine duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid driver’s license, including satisfactory driving record and ability to be insured on the company’s policy, is required for driving to client sites.

QUALIFICATIONS and/or SKILLS

  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of construction.

  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

  • Possesses his/her own basic hand tools for use during projects.

  • Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to safety or health of employee or others.
